Audience Profile

Above is my audience profile. The first photo of the union jack is to portray that the majority of my audience will be based in the UK, as that is where it will be published. The next two photos showing school uniforms and university graduation hats and gowns are to symbolize the age group of my audience which I believe to be early teens to early 20's. They also portray that my target audience should be well-educated due to intelligent language that will be used in my magazine. The photo's of the girl singing, the girl playing the guitar and the girl playing piano are to show that my target reader should be passionate about music, and are likely to either sing or play and instrument. My few photos portraying groups of teenagers together is to show that my audience are likely to be well-behaved teenagers who are approachable, unlike the stereotype of teenagers. This is because the genre of my magazine is 'pop' which is quite well behaved music in terms of language and attitude compared to that of rock and hip-hop which are more rebellious. The male and female symbols obviously show that it will be appropriate for both genders and my three silhouette pictures show that it will appeal to every sexuality. The picture of the house is to represent the average income of my target audience and the class they would be associated in is middle class due to the price of the magazine. The final two photos portray again, that my target audience are likely to be well-behaved and do well in school/education.
