DJ Magazine Summary

This magazine has a house style which shouts 'carefree' at the reader from the first look at the front cover, and this caries on throughout, which appeals to the magazines younger and rebellious demographic. I believe that this contents page is successful due to its structured, yet still slightly rebellious layout, which clearly navigates the reader around the magazine. I think this double page spread is also successful as it fits in with the house style of the magazine and appeals to their demographic, and has a large photo to suit their demographic which prefer visual content. DJ is such a different genre to mine so I won't be using that much of their magazine in mine, however they do have a similar demographic so I will take their ideas on how to suit the content to the demographic that they use, such as using many and large pictures.
